Gandhi Smriti

                                         

Gandhi Smriti  formerly known as Birla House or Birla Bhavan.  this is a very poignant memorial, is where Mahatma Gandhi was shot dead by a Hindu zealot on 30 January 1948.Old Birla House was acquired in 1971 by the Government of India and as a national monument of Father of the Nation was converted and was opened to the public on August 15, 1973, preserves the room where Mahatma Gandhi lived and join in prayer ground where he held a mass congregation every evening.
